:blackknight: In the book "Warplanes of the Third Reich" by (I think) William Green he mentioned that the JU 88 was used as a Tank killer but I've never heard a thing about it Was the any version of the JU 88 used in that role?
I also read in the same book that the JU 88c6 was "built from the ground up" as a fighter I saw the diagrams of it WAS loaded with machine guns but Wouldn;t it have a hard time performing as a fighter? It had two
pods on the wings containing 12 machine guns and a solid nose with some more M.G's ( or canons):rightfighter1:
 
I don't know how many examples of Ju 88P were actually build (not many I believe), but they were fitted with one 75mm or two 37mm cannons for tank killer role...

Versions of P series were:

Ju 88P-1 (armed with one 75mm cannon)
Ju 88P-2/3 (armed with two 37mm cannons)
Ju 88P-4 (armed with one 50mm cannon)
