Making the best use of Jumo 211 series?

Let's make a DB-606/610 equivalent using counter-rotating propellers.

Considering the success of those coupled DB engines, an excellent suggestion for shortening the war. 😉

Such a change requires designing a completely new engine: new block, new pistons, new cylinders, for +5% performance boost only.

DB managed to do it for the 605, no?

What's the point of licensing an inferior engine?

Might be politically easier than to license the 'crown jewels'? (DB 601/605/603?)

There is nothing "coupled" in my counter-rotating setup - except reductor's housing. Just 2 2-blade (i want to keep the cost down and the efficiency up) independent propellers.

DB couldn't get C3 fuel allocation, so they were forced to maximize performance on B4. Furthermore, they could afford to increase the bore without changing the block.
There was nothing wrong in the Jumo 213 - except the firing order.
