Thank you sir for your reply, Yes your right, I think so too, in 1974 they first released the TBD and right after that the P-61 came to view. I remembered in 1974 Archers hobby world worlds first mail order house. He was the only hobby dealer that had these kits before the other hobby shops did. I got mine at Arcghers. Mr. Robert Archer is no longer in buisness somec of you fellas out there prabaly at one time dealed with this fine Gentlemen. I can kick myself in the ash can for not stocking up a stash pile of the TBD and P-61 at K Mart I mean to tell you they had these kits stocked to the overhead for $2.00 a shot along with the old balsa kits from comet. My P-61 displayed here I got from Archers hobby worl I was still in the Navy when i got it . thanks for the reply it most appreciated.

Another noteworthy Monogram 1/48 kit was their P-39 Aircobra. I'm pretty sure I built most if not all of their WWII kits in this scale. The Helldiver was a nice kit to as I remember. Back in 70's they pretty much had the market cornered for 1/48 scale, at least up here. The Dornier Arrow was another one that was a great kit.
