    Hello:

I am trying to find out which Marks of the Beaufighter and Mosquito nightfighter these units flew during the MTO?

    414, 415, 416, and 417th NFS.

From what I have found so far, it was the Beaufighter Mk VI-F and the Mosquito Mk XXX but I would like to confirm which units flew what make and mark.

    Thank you.

    Michael

Mosquito NF Mk 30 only the 416th. Beaufighter Mk VI by all four.

The 416th sent a detachment some time in spring 1945 up to the 425th in Etampes, IIRC. 425th was on P-61s at the time.

There are lots of pilot accounts around about what it was like flying Spits, 109's and Mustangs etc, I was wondering if any of you guys have crew accounts of USAAF Beau and Mossie operations?

Edit - have a look at some of the posts on the Forum at The Mosquito Page by Norman Malayney.
