@ Crimea ( Andy..? ) You got me on track with the alu foil at the tips, this is a firts try with very thin lead sheet...think idd that the thinner foil will be more scale like..
@ Tony, the clips is an idea, but not as pliable as solder wire or lead wire...( however could use the rigidity of the clips..)
 
Aluminum foil tape is easy to use, very thin and already sticky on the back. Used for furnace duct sealing. I made my 1/48 Dora ejector chutes like this. The only problem is that it remains very flexible ad is easily crushed.

Aluminum foil is a great idea...its thickness does appear to be more in scale.

Very inspiring work aviatik! Love your superb detail!
 
Fellow modellers....a little delay in my build...2 factors ....lack of creativity on how to solve the exhaust stacks and a little hand surgery...not for the faint harted...
