After looking at the MKII, noticed that the bomb doors don't look right!

Both kits have no rivet detail anymore! Shame as the Lanc' is covered in them

Hope these kits give you the correct Rebecca aerials now!

Just been looking at them on their site - look interesting. The bomb doors on the MkII are supposed to be the 'bulged' type, with the rear 'overhang'. In this scale, rivets are no loss, as they really can't be seen that well. Interesting seeing the ground support equipment kit too.
Now, are they going to follow these with versions in 1/48th scale, so that we can have a decent Lanc kit in the larger scale? Oh, and a Halifax would be nice too!

and a Hampden, Welington, Blenhiem, Battle and Stirling !!!!!!!!!!!

Keep the 88's in check folks. Bare in mind we're prolly looking at some rough ideas for box art or maybe some sort of preliminary cad-drawing at best at this point.

Ok, this may be sacrilege to mention on a WWII forum but, while the Lancs are cool, the really big news (literally and figuratively) is the 1/48 Javelin. WOW!!! Seeing one of those painted in the red and white trials scheme as worn by the airframe at Duxford would be fantastic!

And now back to our normal programming...!

Ok, not quite back to our normal programming - I'm still blathering on...but at least the following is relevant to WWII. Other new-mould Airfix kits for 2013 include the following 1/72:

Gladiator (2 variants - wheeled and with skis)
Hurricane MkI early variant with fabric wing (has options for both small rudder/no ventral fairing and large rudder/with ventral fairing)
Typhoon (this one's been long-awaited)
Fw190A-8
Fw190A (separate kit from the A-8 listed above)

Non WWII stuff in 1/72 (again, new moulds):

Vampire T.11
Harrier GR1
Harrier GR3
Lightning F2A

Overall, some cracking new releases there. If they're up to Airfix's best (think Sea Vixen in 1/48 and Swordfish in 1/72) then they'll make lots of people happy and should (I hope) sell like hot cakes!

Still fighting not to buy their 1/48 Sea Vixen, find it increasingly hard to come up with excuses not to!
I'd certainly buy their new Lancaster, even if in the 'wrong' ;) scale!
