Other way around really. The first armour kits in the 'larger' scale were in 1/32nd, followed by aircraft. Then Tamiya introduced the then very 'odd' scale of 1/35th, back in the mid to late 1960s. Everyone else followed suit, and now we have a mix of two scales, armour / aircraft, which never look right together. However, there are a few 1/35th scale aircraft around, such as the Piper Cub and Fiesler Storch, and Master Box have announced the C47/DC3 and Ju52/3M in 1/35th, due soon.
