There was another German cathedral rebuilt recently, wasn't there? They used original blocks mixed with new blocks which will apparently give it a speckled effect until the new blocks age. I can't remember where it is though, big article on it, all the German towns-folk were really pleased to see their cathedral back up.

Colin, you're thinking of the Frauenkirche of Dresden, from the sounds of it.

You beat me to it Dave, that's the one I was going to suggest. I believe there's also been some recent work at Cologne too, although the Cathedral wasn't totally destroyed there. That must have been what our chappy was on about, how 'we' deliberately missed! Or it might have been those special foam-rubber bombs used by the RAF and USAAF when hitting Cathedral cities!
