I have tried alcad on 2 projects, a me109 which did not turn out like I would have liked and a torpedo on a Japanese torpedo plane which turned out excellent. I found that applying the alcad thinly was the trick, along with a perfect surface.

GREAT photography

Do you have to use gloves when handling Allclad painted items to ensure the metallic finish? Or can you man handle the Allclad painted items and not worry about finger smudges?

Have to agree with all. Beautiful finish. I told Wayne Little a year ago I was thinking about building a NMF P-38 with Alclad II. No I'm not so sure. You motivated me and shamed me all in one post! Great job!!

By the way... what photo background are you using? The reflective black looks great!

IIRC Alclad is one of the most durable metallic finishes. Nothing like MM or SnJ.
