I'm wondering how many MiG-21s are available in Eastern Europe for drone conversion? Doesn't have to work very well. Just mix 'em in with other drone swarms. AAA fodder.
You have a good point. There are probably bunches of them sitting somewhere.

For the movie Behind Enemy Lines they needed some aircraft wreckage for one scene. They bought a couple of Mig-21's for about $1500 each and tore them up to make what was supposed to be a wrecked F-18.

On February 20, IJA, IJN joint landing force and airborne unit attcked Kupang, Timor Island, to occupy the airfield. The Allies immediately retreated but had crossed IJN airborne unit at 5km north-east from the airfield. This was not a scheduled job for the airborne but had to fight to reach the airfield.

A month ago, they directly landed the airfield in Manado, Celebes Island, but suffered serious casualties on the runway. This time, they were so careful they avoided direct attack but had suffered serious casualties again. This was different from IJA airborne.
