What are the tubes on the upper surface of the wings? My guess is braces for the manually folding wings> (for when they are folded) I am no expert on Seafires!
Your guess is as good as mine. I can't of any other reason for them being there. I don't know British aircraft that well.

The braces were used for blocking/protection of the folded wings. A quite similar system that was used for the F4U Corsair. These were attached when the maintenance crew was going to fold or unfold the wings. Also these helped to keep the process running smooth because , contrary to the F4U, the Spitfire wing folding was made manually IIRC.
