Picture from my Fathers scrap book, dated July 1944, he was on TDY with the Marine Scout VMSB-245 for Additional DB Training for the new Marine Squadron when they were based on Makin Atoll.

Somewere in his boxed up things I have the "Red Mousie Squadron Patch, Supposedly that is his SBD on the flight line across from the Culver TD2C Target Drones.

I was in love with this plane the I first time I saw it in an Air Classics article. It was the easiest airplane to draw.
