It is a French Navy Lancaster but where?
I was right with you up to Wallis is.....Wallis is in the middle of nowhere - it lies north of Tonga, northeast of Fiji, east of Fiji's Rotuma, southeast of Tuvalu, southwest of Tokelau and west of Samoa.
Here are some photos of the Lanc I was hoping was on that barge. Ground looped on Wallis Island in French Polonesia. I tried to get a team together to recover it in 1980 but could not get the financial backing needed. Wallis is in the middle of nowhere - it lies north of Tonga, northeast of Fiji, east of Fiji's Rotuma, southeast of Tuvalu, southwest of Tokelau and west of Samoa.
