Pretty much self explanatory.
Short wing B-26A (Marauder I) similar to the B-26s based at Midway and were used as torpedo bombers there as well. They could have been very effective if the crews had been well trained in torpedo tactics and if they had good torpedoes. I wonder how they performed at Aghios Giorgios.View attachment 587305
A Martin B-26 Marauder of 14 Sqn RAF, based at Fayid in Egypt during WW 2. This aircraft was lost on the 3rd January 1943, whilst engaged in a torpedo attack off Aghios Giorgios Island. Not a type of operation that the type is well known for carrying out. No photo credit available.
