The first flight of the Vultee A-31 Vengeance prototype V-72 dive bomber. It takes place at Vultee's factory at Downey, California. The British Purchasing Commission, in need of a dive bomber, already has placed orders for 300 of them. The plane is well behind schedule, as delivers originally were scheduled to begin in October 1940.

Night fighter pilots of the Royal Air Force wear dark goggles in a rest hut of their base, somewhere in England, March 30, 1941, before going on patrol. The dark goggles prepare their eyes so that they are already adjust when they go into the darkness for patrol. British moonlit nights once feared by these pilots are now regarded as an aid in locating enemy planes

From my Instagram suggestions: an interesting photo of an ASW or Coastal Command B-24 (modified). This particular a/c has no tail gunner but possibly a tunnel-gun. Could be RCAF (judging by the winter landscape; 8 months a year, believe me!). I can't see any markings whatsoever. No further information was given with the photo.

My best friends father drove his MG Midget in the Saskatoon winter (minus 30 not uncommon). No worse than a VW beatle with the pathetic Webasto heater.

The Morris Minor heater only warmed the passenger's foot closest to the heater. The coldest if have ever been was in the back seat of the said Morris Minor passing through Amarillo Texas in December. Outside temp below freezing, inside temp allowed snow when speaking. The rear doors do not fit well on that 1960 or on the 1959 Morris back home.

Yep, and many more convertibles.
But back to the "Liberator": this is BZ718 which nosed at Rockliffe on 29 March 1943 in delivery configuration. Rockliffe is the old airport in Ottawa, so this accident happened not very far from my home. The place doesn't look like this anymore though. BTW in this long list with RCAF "Liberators" there is no s/n BZ718. There is a BZ817 (if it was a typo) or the crashed plane was never taken on strength with RCAF.
P.S. As per the list mentioned above this could be a RAF-serial. In the last photo one can see the number 412 written under the cockpit. Couldn't find any US s/n or a RAF-serial ending with 412.

No markings because of new delivery condition.

O.K. Found something about the crashed Liberator above, using RAF serial BZ718:
Liberator III; GR.V; ex 42-40289; dld Dorval 27.3.43; nose radome crushed on landing at Rockcliffe 29.3.43; repaired and ASV removed; retd to 45 Gp at Dorval 28.5.43 and TOC; 45 Gp Comm Sqn; used by FCCS from at least 21.9.43 until DBR when brakes locked on landing at Windsor Field, Nassau, 2.2.44.
