This brings back wonderful memories of watching esoteric types coming and going at Boscombe Down: I saw the Javelin just once but the Lightnings and Hunters were ubiquitous. Back then we used to see lots of dayglo-clad jets over Salisbury Plain. A golden era, never to return, sadly.
