I agree. It is not a Tamigawa kit, their outlines are not perfect. The only thing I corrected was the width of the propeller blades, and I used resin wheels. All the rest is original from Heller. All markings are from the old Repli-Scale decal sheet #72-1055, "P-51B / D, 357th FG The Yoxford Boys # 2", but the letters "C5-N" were too big! I used the "5" and "N" from the decal spares box, but I had no replacement for the white "C", then I used it anyway.
As a comparison, I take the opportunity to show my 1/72 Minicraft P-51D. It's different from the Heller kit, no?
Nice models! My son wanted to look at my models last night so we took some photos of them. This is my 1/48 collection so far, the P-38 is in the current GB. I've posted some of these before but anyway..
Been a while since I have been here - busy flying, working, and a bit of modeling too. A few additions to the collection in the last couple of years but truthfully, not as many as there should have been.
Recently missed out on an auction for a 1:48 He 280 by Eduard, absolutely gutted.
Good stuff, and a big collection.
But, the pics are nearly 4 Mb each, and taking a long time to load, slowing down the forum. You need to re-size to no more than 800 x 600 px, saved at about 200 - 300 dpi.
What a beautiful models! All of them! Among all, I liked especially Andy's Buffalo (beautiful "lines of separation" between camouflage colors) and OfficerEd's P-51 red racer.
Completely baffled by the editing attachments bit, have re-sized photos but can't seem to delete the current ones....Can a moderator delete that post and I'll start again.
Very impressive 1:32 collection there by the way. Nice work.
