Hello there. This is Skywalker.
June 4th is the 84th anniversary of Battle of Midway and I just rephotoed my done SBD-3.
It was made in the end of 2024 and it was my first 72nd aircraft work.
I photoed this work before by my 5DII but I found that camera had some focusing issues.
Now I rephoto this work by A6700 and Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm lens.

So you could see many unskilled points.
I participated a contest and the judges told me that I should weather my plane more so I accepted his advice.
I also tested antenna and lego-made support to display the bombing run.
After this model and a F4U-1A, I finished my 48nd Hellcat, which had been posted.

Most impressive.
And I will introduce Dick Best's unique name in China: Ding Wei
Here's a fun piece of cross-cultural trivia: Among Chinese military history enthusiasts, the legendary pilot Dick Best is almost universally known by the Chinese name 'Ding Wei' (丁伟). It's more than a simple translation. The name 'Ding' approximates the sound of 'Dick', while 'Wei' means 'great' or 'extraordinary'. Together, it captures the essence of his surname 'Best' in a way that feels both phonetically familiar and heroically appropriate in Chinese. It's widely seen as a respectful and clever localization by his Chinese admirers.
