Here are a couple. Its the best my camera will do.These are ones that were not too dusty.I'll post them and some more at otftch's photos and albums on webshots under Airplanes-singles

Ahhhh, thank you Ed! Nice builds, esp the top Grace and the Jill underneath it. Strange...that is the second Grace I've seen painted that orange color - I never knew the Japanese navy employed these colors on their naval attack aircraft...seems like it would make for an EASY target from above against all that blue water:?:

Thanks for the shots though, they are grand!

The Japanese Navy painted its Trainers and some early production aircraft Orange.First prototype only.

I've posted more at my website.

Well that makes sense. Stupid me.:D I checked out the other pictures. Good stuff. Thanks again!

how did you get the seams on your paper models that smooth? mine never turn out that good. yours are amazing!

Guys your models are very nice. Especially the Sabre 1:250 scale.Nice Cougar32d.As far as the resizing of pics is concerned you can use the Irfanview application. It is easy to make it with this program.Besides it is free.

Otftch what is a scale of your models?

I color the edges with markers and overlap a little more than indicated.A little white glue on the outside after it is assebled dries clear and finishes the joints nicely. Both of the ones I've built get a little too narrow at the rear so I'm going to use some internal formers in the future.I figure on putting them in after the each fuselage section is assembled.

Yep,it has been a paper 1:33 scale model.I made it many years ago, unfortunately it didn't exist anymore. That's a pity 'cos it looked interesting.

I've restored another KDN Škoda 110 - this time the "L" (-for "Luxus") version. It went straight to the ebay.

Out of interest, what do people use to rig their biplanes? I'm thinking black thread may be too thick and look silly on something only 7cm long

I use threads unsewed out from my wife's tights. They are thin and easy glued. If you want something thicker you can put same of them together.I have to tell you that at the upper and lower parts of the tights ( feet for instance) the threads are always thicker than from the rest of the one.I think that for 1:72 scale it is a good solution. For higher scales I suggest thin fishing line.

I can just imagine going up to a woman and asking to borrow her tights!

Anyways, I'm moving next week, so all my models are being packed away ready for the move. Before they all get stowed away, I thought I'd do a nice group photo. So here is my current collection of model kits and die-cast (I have about 20 more 1:18 cars in my parent's loft)

P6220365.gif

1:18 Cars - At the top is my Bentley Speed 8, which never leaves the box. Then, from top row left to right we have BMW LM01, Plymouth Fury 'Christine', Saleen Mustang, Ferrari F40, Lotus Elise, DeLorean DMC 12, Porsche Carrera GT, Dodge Monaco 'Bluesmobile', Lamborghini Diablo, Dodge Viper, Lancia Delta HF Intergrale, Datsun 240Z Safari, '67 Ford Mustang.

1:24/25 Car kits - Camaro Yenko, Nissan Silvia S13, Corvette LM05, Honda Raybrig NSX, Nissan Falken Skyline (unfinished), Lancia Stratos Safari, Dodge Charger R/T (if I ever move to the States, I'm buying one of these), Toyota Castrol Supra, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI

Other scale models - Right in the centre is the Speedfreaks Escort mk.1. From the left we have Aston Martin Volante 'The Living Daylights' Caterham RS500, Mercedes CLK DTM, Alfa Romeo Bat concept, Shelby Cobra, Alfa Romeo Spider, Citroen AX, Alfa Romeo 155 DTM, T-65 X-Wing, Y-Wing, AT-AT.

Then the 1:72 Warbirds. These have either been posted before, or were too rubbish to bother with. We have an Incom T-65 X-Wing 'Red 2' (almost finished), Supermarine Spitfire Vb Trop (current project) Messerschmitt Me 109E Trop, Lockheed P-38 Lightning, Curtis Kittyhawk, Chance Vought F4U Corsair, Supermarine Spitfire mk.IX, Macchi Mc.202 Folgore, Republic P-47D Thunderbolt, North American F-51 Mustang, Supermarine Spitfire mk.I, Junkers Ju87 D 'Stuka', Hawker Typhoon Ib, Yakovlev Yak3

Now, the only thing that remains is to see how many survive moving..............
