It's alot of windows for sure.

BTW, has anyone re-used masks? Is it practical?
Need to mask 2 Avengers, but masks aren't cheap (actually, the postage is the real killer). Was thinking to use the set as a master for some Tamiya tape masks just to save a few €. Waste of time?

I've never reused them as I rarely have more than one kit of any type or maker, ie...P-51 by three different kit makers. I've heard camo masks are reusable but they all seem to be made out of Oramask which is a bit hardier than washi style tape

Got a few 'double/triple/quadruple' kits depending on how many variants or colour schemes we used in the RNZAF. (Trying to model each, or atleast each significant, variant).

Bagged yourself a nice little package there Evan, lots of fiddly stuff though. Re the masks, have never done it but why nor give it a trial run first on a bit of scrap plastic.

Yep, will do Vic. I'm a bit suss on peeling them off neatly, and them resealing properly, but we'll see.

I had that same thought about peeling off as with paint on them it's a bit hard to get the peel started and not damage the clear perspex.

There were F8's at NAS North Island San Diego when I was TAD there in '61.
But they had the flip up wing for lower landing speeds.

All the F-8's had the variable incident wing. That's one of the major identifiers of the type.
