Certainly looks like a "Can you tell what it is yet?" kit - nice one though, good to see more of the lesser-known stuff.
I seem to remember saying I wouldn't buy any more kits for a while, apart from the Ventura and Gnat I'd been waiting for for years. Well, that's gone to rat poo, as I realised I was missing some essential RAF types for my 1/48th scale collection.
So I grabbed the Airfix Mosquito PR.XVI, brand new at a reduced price (probably be built as a PR.IX), and got the other two at very reasonable prices, as 'pre-owned' kits from a supplier I use often. Judging by the original price labels on the boxes, they appear to have come from another shop I've used in the past, which has recently closed due to retirement of the owner. They're both brand new, sealed, and at a much reduced price compared to current listings.
I've now had to move out of my bedroom, and the spare room, due to the 'stash' taking over - will I ever learn !!??
The Tamiya 'Mossie' will be built as the modified B.IV srs ii FPU aircraft, coded '?', flown by my late friend Bob Kirkpatrick, on the Shell House raid, with the PR IX conversion going alongside a previously converted B.XVI, made from the Airfix FB.VI, and another Airfix FB.VI as the Shell House aircraft flown by RAAF crew Noel Shrimpton and Peter Lake.
Those interested in these builds, take note in around August 2019 ......... !!!
