A little compressor to give me a bit more than the puffer I been using! 50 bucks.

Hay Bill, you thinking of paint spraying your new house. Hell of a machine for 50 bucks.

Thanks for the welcome back chaps - still having the odd forum problem, hence my absence.

Nice to have you back Terry, the Hippocroccofrogs have bl**dy missed you mate !

Got these for £40 for the lot, saved £35.

Good buy Karl, didn't have to dig to deep in the old pocket for that lot.

good to see your back Terry(and your front)
Geo

Now all he needs is a bit on the side... :)

Great scores guys!

My latest, for the Hasegawa B5N2 'Kate' - (Eduard #72240)

Not officially, Karl!

A single Kate (aircraft '302') was surrendered to the RNZAF at Jacquinot Bay, 1945. IIRC no-one was allowed to fly it (maybe as it was still in full military markings - ie. not in the 'Green Cross' surrender scheme), and a post surrender photo shows the rear fuselage chopped with an axe or similar, possibly to prevent such an occurence (??)
(The Zero's we received were joyrided for example, some against regulations!)

Preparation for surrender:

These Alcos, are the first locomotives (HO), that I've bought in 15 or more years, I've noticed that things have moved on a fair bit, with DCC and sound....but, that's a future 'problem' that I can deal with later....

Certainly looks like a "Can you tell what it is yet?" kit - nice one though, good to see more of the lesser-known stuff.

I seem to remember saying I wouldn't buy any more kits for a while, apart from the Ventura and Gnat I'd been waiting for for years. Well, that's gone to rat poo, as I realised I was missing some essential RAF types for my 1/48th scale collection.
So I grabbed the Airfix Mosquito PR.XVI, brand new at a reduced price (probably be built as a PR.IX), and got the other two at very reasonable prices, as 'pre-owned' kits from a supplier I use often. Judging by the original price labels on the boxes, they appear to have come from another shop I've used in the past, which has recently closed due to retirement of the owner. They're both brand new, sealed, and at a much reduced price compared to current listings.
I've now had to move out of my bedroom, and the spare room, due to the 'stash' taking over - will I ever learn !!??

The Tamiya 'Mossie' will be built as the modified B.IV srs ii FPU aircraft, coded '?', flown by my late friend Bob Kirkpatrick, on the Shell House raid, with the PR IX conversion going alongside a previously converted B.XVI, made from the Airfix FB.VI, and another Airfix FB.VI as the Shell House aircraft flown by RAAF crew Noel Shrimpton and Peter Lake.
Those interested in these builds, take note in around August 2019 ......... !!!

Keep the economy running Terry!

Yes, I have heard that is the knock on Unicraft, though there is no denying their offerings are esoteric. Unfortunately for me, I thought I was buying this bird as it was kitted by an Argentine model company called LOS HUARPES MODELS under the name Dinfia IA-38 Horten. Hey...isn't member CHARLES BROSON in Argentina.
