I know most of the Horten designs, but have never heard of that one Jim, great score! (- just a shame if she's as rough as you say... any chance of pics?)

Great scores too Terry!

I blame Cory and Geo for this one, which arrived today !
The CF-104 thread re-kindled my desire to add a RCAF Starfighter from the 1960's to my 'bare metal collection', though no idea when it'll get built !
I'm not sure, but this kit might be ex-Hasegawa, re-boxed under the Revell label, as it's nicely engraved and well detailed, whilst appearing to be a simple, straightforward build, but at a fraction of the cost of the original.

Not quite Jim. The decals are for Canadian Armed Forces, the title and style which replaced the RCAF title, and incorporated the French Canadian wording also. Now, of course, it's reverted back to RCAF, long after the '104 retired.
The roundels are similar, although I need to check the size and style of the maple leaf, for the period I'll be depicting, and similar with the flag on the fin. I can use the stencils etc, but will have to make the 'RCAF' and serial number decals, along with the relevant Wing or Squadron crest, unless i can find some in my spare decals files.
Geo directed me to Belcher Bits, who make a decal sheet covering the period and aircraft in question, but with UK import duty, and the Royal Mail 'handling charge', having the decals sent direct from Mike Belcher will work out at twice the cost, more than the price of the kit - and I'd only need a small amount of the decals on the sheets - so not really cost effective.

You're welcome Terry! ;) Would you mind posting some sprue shots? I'll be able to tell you if it's ex-Hasegawa.

As for RCAF decals, try here Terry. Another Canadian source, but maybe it'll work out better here?

Canuck Model Products: RCAF Decals and Accessories

The site is built in such a way that I cannot link you to the sheet directly, though it's easy to navigate. The sheet I'm talking about is CF-104 Starfighter - RCAF+3 Markings (1963). You can build any Starfigther you want with this sheet. The image is for the 1/32 version but the other scales are the same.

If it doesn't work out because of red tape, let me know and I can just order one for you and mail it to you myself.

Faster, and better, than Starbucks !
Great stuff Cory - I'll check that site, but I think I might be in business. I found an old decal sheet left over from the Monogram RCAF Sabre I built .. er... many years ago, in the 1970's !
It appears to be in good condition, and has the correct roundels, and the 'old' flag if I decide to go pre- 1964, and the 'RCAF' lettering. I can hopefully make the rest, working from some colour shots I found on the 'net, including the 3 Wing crest.
On closer inspection, the kit is not ex-Hasegawa - it has the original Monogram moulded stamping on the inside of the fuselage, as well as a transparent sticker stating 'Poland', so possibly produced there. It has a mix of finely recessed panel lines and control surfaces, with some raised, but very fine, surface detail too, all in very light grey plastic, and crystal-clear, very thin, transparent parts. So, a re-issue of one of the many guises of this oldish kit, but still more than acceptable.
The decal sheet covers a bare metal 417 Sqn aircraft from Cold Lake, as featured on the box art, plus an overall white, with blue spine and red tail planes and rear flash of 417 Sqn, commemorating the disbandment in 1983, and a USAF 69th TFTS machine, used for the training of West German Luftwaffe pilots. All stencils etc are also included on the sheet.
I can still post sprue and decal sheet shots if you want to see them though ?
