Looks like a nice kit old boy. I should have my 1/16th scale Tiger 1 (early) tomorrow, to be modified to resemble a mid - production Ausf. E.
Already got the white metal cupola, mg ring and MG 42 to fit to it - pics when the tank arrives.

Jolly good old chap! Been tempted to get a 1/16 Pzkpfw IV, Tiger or Kingtiger, but....as with the 1/24 Typhoon, where in the dogs scrotum does one put it, as they're bl**dy massive!

The monster has arrived !
A 1/16th scale R/C Tiger 1, early version, to be converted to a mid-production model, using the white metal cupola shown in the pics, plus some other work, and home made 'zimmerit' anti-magnetic mine paste. The tank comes with accessories, such as towing hawsers, cables etc, and a commander figure. The Testors and Humbrol paints give an idea of the size of this baby !

Might be a bit of a strain - but I can eliminate those people at airshows, with big hats, who walk in front of the camera, knowing they're in the way, as it shoots 6 mm BB's, out to 25 meters !!
It also has engine noise, exhaust smoke, and working headlights !!!

You'd be very welcome Jim !
I really fancied the King Tiger, preferably with the Porsche turret, but the basic tank was a tad pricey, and that's before getting any up-date parts.
I'm looking forward to 'tarting it up' a bit, although I'll probably leave the 'Fiefel' air cleaner gear in place, which just might be OK for an early mid-production version, I'd need to check my references, including another book on the way.
