Scored this one reasonably cheaply on ePay. Never heard of the Flashback brand before and seems like they no longer exist. I'd be interested to know if anyone has built one of their kits before.

Nicely done. Now put it up on a display case and pick up the Airfix for a real build you'll enjoy. Well unless you're into some extra pain. Of course it can be a learning tool. You will learn a lot.

Ha! Just read the link over on Britmodeller. Looks like this kit is going to be a huge challenge. Can't say I haven't been warned now...

I have picked up some kits the last three weeks. I love collecting Imperial Japanese Navy and Army planes. Here are some.

That Emily is the new kit I assume? Would like to get, but the price is no joke!
One of the newer ones yes. I won it on eBay for $38. I thought that was pretty good because as you stated, they are very expensive. And it's still sealed. I have like 3 of the Cafereo 1/144 scale ones I won, but never built. I made up my mind to upgrade everything to 1/72 or 1/48 scale.

Thank you! Built around 20 in various stages of completion, but didn't finish because school started. I don't like trying to work on anything when teaching. Too many other things to do. Did get a Hasegawa H6K5 today. Older kit, but I really wanted one.

Older is not always bad. Maybe the only on you can get. Many times I think they are better. The Monogram Century Series in 48th scale is one, the only complete set and even with newer kits from Trumpeter (F-100 & 106) Kitty Hawk (F-101) they are still the most accurate kits. In the case of the F-104 there maybe better but that's with Kinetic and Hasegawa.

So many nice kits being released I started on a buying spree again. Latest purchases. The excellent Eduard Spitfire "Eagle's Call" with decals for 12 American Flown Spitfires in RAF/RCAF/USAAF service. I really like the markings for Don Blakeslee's Royal Canadian Airforce Spitfire V who as some of you may know became the CO of the USAAF 4th Fighter Group. Also, there is a marking for Don Gentile's USAAF Spitfire Vb another 4th FG alumni and the highest scoring ace ( aerial kills) in the USAAF in Europe. That's his a/c on the box cover MD-T. For USAAF fighter groups my favourite has always been the 4th.

Next up the really nice Great Wall Hobby Su-35S in 1/72 scale. GWH kits are really high quality kits. I could of gotten the 1/48 scale version but it would have been too big to fit in my display cabinet so went with the 1/72 version.

More to come.

Cheers,
Dave.
