Not from that crowd Terry, only 1:72 and 1:87.
I searched on E-bay and online generally, and there are a number of Sherman Firefly kits available in 1:48 (Tamiya, and various 3D printed ones) though none with interiors unfortunately. If you want a detailed interior aswell, you would need to convert a Bandai M4A3 to a Firefly, or just steal the interior parts and stick them in a Firefly kit.

There is a giant used book sale here every year and of course I go to check out what's available; these two were $10. I (and my suffering wife) plan to visit Wright-Patterson later this year. The Mustang book was published in 2022 so should have some new info. View attachment 836615
Looking at the pictures and this jumped out at me. Is this the only Me109 photo they could find? I hope more rigor is shown in the rest of the book. I'll let you know after I read it. View attachment 836616
Well, we are sitting in Dayton and had planned to go on Thursday but...

At least I have the book about W-P to look at so I have that going for me. The Mustang book was rather disappointing; the prose felt like it might have been generated partly by AI with a shallow breathy narrative suitable for an old computer generated air combat history show that used to be on TV. There was some detail about how Antony Fokkers aircraft company morphed into North American and how it was designed so quickly. Apparently as engineers are apt to do; they had been compiling a lot of design details about landing gear; cooling; gun installation; etc. and pulled it all out when tasked to design this new plane. There was one paragraph saying that the uncontrolled diving problem was because of the machine gun covers on the wings not being stiff enough. I had never heard of that. Worth every penny of the $5 it cost me. Look for a post in a few days under "What cheered you up today" as the rest of the trip is planned to be some biking on Ohio to Erie Bike trail and a 5k race at an airport.

I am so sorry. If you have time Liberty Air Museum is a drive to Port Clinton-it's a private museum and they have a lot of flying aircraft. Also Champagne Air Museum is in Urbana.

Went to the Mil-Town and went to Hobby Town USA. While there, got all of my kids something. I actually found something I wanted. They redid the store and had a clearance table in the back. It looked way better than it did the last time I came here two years ago.
