Just received this - grabbed it off eBay for £20.
For a 53 year old kit, it's very good indeed, with turret interior, gear box & transmission/brakes, and engine.
I just hope that my numb, knackered hands recover so that I can return to modelling soon.

The Irish-scheme is maybe "dull"-looking for somebody but interesting though. The instructions tell us this is "cockpit green".o_O
I love all those camouflage-types from WWII and the post-war period, using colours/paints not necessarily intended for the job.
Here is an interesting video about building the model:

Awesome scores guys.

Terry, is that the Bandai kit? I have their Sherman and Daimler armoured car back in NZ.

Berny, nice one mate. I will be making an IAC one in 1:72 (AZ Models kit).
3 IAC TR.9s (158, 161 and 162) later received Silver schemes with Black cowlings if you want to do something other than that Cockpit Green one.

And 161 shows a roundel on the underside of the wing not the Irish tricolor as per model instructions/decals.

Great spotting mate. Looked that up to see what the story was:
The original Celtic Boss roundel was Orange and Dark Green, and was placed on the upper wings and fuselage. Lower wings had the Irish tri-colour bands of Dark Green, White and Orange. At some point in their service, the Celtic Boss roundel was changed to the tri-colour Dark Green, White and Orange, and placed in all six positions, the lower bands being removed and replaced by same.

And Terry, yep. Amazing detail for the time, dwarfed only now by modern moulding technology.

This "some point" should have been in 1954. I learned something new today!
Airfix scheme with the interior green camo is from 1951.
