The guy who recently flew the restored Gustavs (landing gear collapse) - what was his name? Anyone have a photo of him?

Hi Flyboy J.
If you mean when the '109 had the U/C collapse at Berlin-Schonefeld in May this year, the pilot was Walter Eichhorn. I think that after the incident, he might have needed 'restoring' - in the bar!
Terry.

PS. I think I might have a photo' in a magazine from a few years ago (probably 10 !!), I'll try and find it tomorrow.

Thanks Airframes - you answered my question...

Walter was in my pit the whole time during the Reno Air Races - we even had drinks and dinner together. He complemented me on my efforts to keep my jet in the air, mentioned something about having someone like me working on an airplane in Germany!!!!

Careful, you might hear "Achtung, Svenske Spitfeur! Horrido!"
Then behold, Flyboy swoops in a '109!
