Sorry guys, still trying to adjust to the lighting in the new room.

So my progress as of recently has been putting in windows on both sides, interior painting, getting some bulkheads in, and the office.

I have decided to display the co-pilots seat pushed back, as it would be if the bombardier were trying to get to the nose of the plane. The bombsight was added, a machine gun to the nose (which would have appeared in a G model. I just bought Tamiya extra thing cement and its great.

Thanks for looking.

BTW the cockpit is dry fitted, not glued.

Looking great H. Looks like you've opened the hatch between the radio room and the bomb bay. Just remember - you'll need a lot of weight in the front of the radio room, and in the front of the engine nacelles, to stop it sitting on its ar*e !!

Hope you can get enough in! I used about three ounce of lead, maybe more ! The nacelles were filled, every space around the underside of the cockpit, between the fuselage and the wheel well, and a load in the radio room, out of sight, as i'd opened the curtain and added the desks and seats.

Putty in one side...partially in other

The fit up till now.

That should probably do it. Hold the model, balanced on your finger tips, at the end of the wing spars. If it doesn't drop nose down - you need more weight!

Some research reveals the aircraft is from the 557th Bombardment Squadron from the 387th Bomber Group.

The plane was coded "KS-A" and 41-31710.

The crew was:

2nd Lt. Peter Gregorchuk (P) - POW
2nd Lt. Carl W Heline (CP) - killed
T/Sgt. Phillip Philander Griffee (B/N) - POW
Sgt. Domonic DiBlassio (R/G) - POW
Sgt. William Braxton Harbour (E/G) - POW
Sgt. Howard L Nelson (TG) - POW

The aircraft was lost on February 24th,1945, target was Engers railway bridge

That's strike two mate.....

Someone's gonna get a Trumpeter 1/32 Wildcat delivered to their door, by a lightly dressed Hippocroccofrog, wanting to come in for some light 'entertainment'!

Argh! Not a Hippocroccofroh and a Wil....one of those things! I promise I'll never take the p*ss again.....well, not for awhile, anyway!!
