Rolling back the Merlin P-51 one year means that the P-51B/C would have appeared over Europe in late '42 early '43 and it would have reversed potentially the terrible losses suffered by the 8th Air Force throughout 1943 and saved the life of many Airmen.
How about rolling back the B-29 Superfortress so that it can do bomber raids over Europe in 1944. That would have had a huge impact on the bomber war over Europe.
I wonder even if they could have rolled it back, they may have chosen to use them all in the Pacific where the distances were greater.
