Cheers for sharing/posting, a great bit of info. Guess this was weighing up the 8th AAF options, with eventually developing the strategic air depots (SAD)? But also recently seen some pictures of a boneyard/salvage area on an individual bomber base for B-24's. Also presume Col Noland was in charge of setting it up from him being the recipient of the memo.
