I'm not a Facebooker, Facebookite, Facebookian or a plotter/cutter user but I know a few here are. This Facebook group has almost 800 users sharing ideas using these devices...

Having done a term of 20 something, and still occasionally at sign painting (writing) and having used a plotter.
I would still rather have decals printed. The same artwork and digitizing for plotting is used.
The bloke here in Oz does a bang up job of printing for me. Paul did the "Yankee Doodle Dandy" B-25 decals for me.
I'm creating Corel artwork for no less than 11 more planes I can't get decals for!!!!!!!!!!!! He does art as well for them.

For large scale stuff masks would be okay, and they are bothersome to put in place.
Two kinds of carrier paper can be used, one is opaque white, and difficult to see where you are putting the blasted things.
The other is clear, but a heavier plastic sorta stuff and not as pliable.
I digress.
