In my castle....
Seldom being talked about, discussed....Search And Rescue!

Being a fair sized country, where does Canada keep their Search And Rescue aircraft?

If you are talking about the RCAF 'Heavies'?

9 Wing - Gander, NL
CH-149 Cormorant

14 Wing - Greenwood, NS
CC-130H Hercules
CH-149 Cormorant

3 Wing - Bagotville, QC
CH-146 Griffon

8 Wing - Trenton, ON
CC-130H Hercules
CH-146 Griffon

17 Wing - Winnipeg, MB
CC-130H Hercules

19 Wing - Comox, BC
CC-130H Hercules
CC-295 Kingfisher
CH-149 Cormorant

In addition, there are CH-146 Griffon based at:
Borden, ON
Cold Lake, AB
Edmonton, AB
Gagetown, NB
Goose Bay, NL
Petawawa, ON
Saint-Hubert, QC
Valcartier, QC

I think this list is accurate as of today. :)

In addition, there are a bunch of civilian owned aircraft (too many for me to keep track of) that operate through CASARA, and various aircraft operated by the Canadian Government's Transport Canada National Aerial Surveillance Program (NASP).

You have the names / designations of the aircraft / helicopters muddled up.

CC-295 is the Kingfisher.

CH-149 is the Cormorant

Whoops! Thanks for the correction. :)

I usually just refer to aircraft by their model numbers unless they do not have any, but I got ambitious late at night and messed up. Corrected my post.

Ummm... Those are a Piasecki CH-125 Workhorse (CH-21 in US service) and a Grumman CSR-110 Albatross (HU-16 in US service).

The CH-125 (and the improved model, the CH-127) were removed from Canadian service by November 1969, and the CSR-110 was removed from Canadian service by December 1970.

You can find two CH-125/127s on display in Canada - #9642 on display at the Musée de la Défense aérienne of CFB Bagotville, Quebec and #9641 on display at the Heritage Air Park of the Comox Air Force Museum CFB Comox, British Columbia

Canada has no preserved CSR-110s on display.
