Hi Lucky!
I did Level 2 History last year, and we learnt about this. The USSR bankrupted
itself over many issues, and over many years. Gorbachev contributed to the demise of the U.S.S.R. by his failed attempts to renovate Soviet Communism, and it came to an end in 1991, when Communism finally fell in Russia.
