hi

I have heard that a Swedish pilot exploded during WW2.

The story is that he is hunting a V1 rocket in his orange Spitfire Mk 1a

Now i want to hear if their is some one out there that knows more than me!:)

orange spitfire?

Perhaps he exploded because he was flying a target drone!

..

If it's orange it's probably a Dutch Pilot

No.

The only thing i can get out is that he left Sweden in early july 1941.

He'd never catch a V-1 in a Spitfire Mk 1a and any Mk Is would have been retired for several years by the time they came along. The RAF had regulations about what colour(s) their aircraft were painted and orange wasn't one of them. The only colour that comes close is a high-reflectence red used for radar calibration. with chasing V-1s. You can find information on Swedish plots with the RAF here: Voluntary Swedish aviators in the RAF
