Thanks Pampa!

There are two photos near the bottom depicting a three drop tank configuration. I have not seen that before. The underwing tanks look rather large. Anyone have any background data on time or places this config was used?

Cheers,
Biff

Biff - the three drop tank config was used in both MTO and PTO as well as centerline plus 2x500 pound bombs. IIRC the Brazilian Air Force was dominantly in the Med.

I've seen the center bag plus bombs config before but not the three bag set up. Was that a mission config or just a ferry set up?

Brazilians didn't flew escort missions, just air interdiction missions (some times ago I have analysed every missions they had for my publication ). I' suppose the some of the tanks are just napalm tanks, widely used on MTO. It differed from standard fuel tanks with special cap equipped with ignition device. It turns every external tank to the napalm tank and Brazilians dropped them frequently.
