I took these pics yesterday. I am only 10 miles south of the fire, right on the edge of the smoke plume.

Last night we took in a friend who's neighborhood in the Anaheim Hills area was shut down by the authorities (didnt burn, but was evacuated due to the immense danger).

Across the street, my neighbor took in her friend from Yorba Linda who's house DID sustain some fire and water damage.

Wow syscom, that's my old stomping grounds!

I have to really wonder about the intelligence of those who insist on building homes in the areas that are prone to brush fires, and have been that way since long before the Spaniards appeard.

Any native Orange Countian (or Southern Californian for that matter) can tell you that two things you can be sure of, is that the hills will burn and that the Santa Ana winds will tear down your Christmas decorations...lol

Heres some pics from this morning.
