Waco CG-4A #42-77588 (made by Ford).

During the D-day operations, it is part of the Mission Galveston 34 437th TCG taking off from Ramsbury to land on the LZ "W" Les Forges, town Blosville at 7:00. It carries a jeep and two men of the "A" Company, 307th Eng Bn AB. According Phillipe Esvelin, author of "American gliders D-Day" (Edition Heimdal), the 53rd TCW (which includes the 437th TCG) gives the order to head LZ "E" Hiesville 2km South is. He lands in fact 8 km from the LZ, the device is damaged, but the staff and the jeep are free.
