This past week has been the popular "Kool April Nights" car show week here in Redding.
The weather has been relatively good until the cruise on Friday (with about 2,500 entrants and about 10,000 spectators) and just before the start, the skies got ugly and a massive T-Storm cell developed: sudden drop in temps, high winds and...rain!

Was talking with my mom last night (about 20:00 Texas time) and I could hear the thunder and torrential rain in the background.

There was a tornado watch for her area (Lufkin) but the storm was aiming more for Nacogdoches.

Rain is in the forecast for the whole week. If a guy with a horse trailer pulls up, asking if I've got any spare gopher wood, I'm going to be nervous.

The Dollar Tree distribution center I used to drive for (Swift) got destroyed Sunday in Marietta Oklahoma about 15 miles north of the Texas border. We got almost nothing while up north (Conroe and points north and east) got the shlakings knocked out of them. Tornadoes everywhere.
