Just looked a the news and the weather north of us is not good. Fortunately the nearest of this (MacKay) is over 600km north of us. 1000mm is 40" for those who use inferial measurements.

Authorities are warning the worst is yet to come for flooded parts of north Queensland, with three-day rainfall totals set to top 1000 millimetres.

No, I am over 200km from any snow.
The Central Florida Highlands is sort of a joke. I am about 30 miles (49km) from a town called MT. Dora which is not the highest point in Florida. They sell T-shirts where the height above sea level is in big numbers in inches, 184 ft is not impressive to most tourists ;)

Hoping you and family are safe/warm.

DUDE! I'm in Fruitland Park! We were going to go to the Mt. Dora Art Festival but missed it. Very cool.

Warmer than yesterday .. is all the way up to -25C now. Windchill was -35C yesterday. And my huskies demand an hour off-leash a day ...... On the plus side, I have decent cold-weather gear now :)

We made it up to over 40°F/4°C for a couple of days recently, but had a couple of inches of snow today and it is 7°F/-14°C right now and heading toward 0°F/-18°C. Steady 14 mph winds.
