Check out the forecast for Thursday - first time I can remember seeing that symbol used:

 
35°F/2°C and sunny today (Sunday), 53°F/12°C and sunny predicted for tomorrow (Monday), then 45°F/7°C and cloudy with 60% chance of rain on Tuesday, followed by 30°F/-1°C and cloudy with 90% chance of snow (1"-2" estimated) on Tuesday.
 
It's here. 34 F and falling. High winds and rain mixed with snow. Changing to snow overnight. Our school will announce whether it will be closed by 6 am.
 
I thought our winds were high here. 25 mph steady, gusts up to perhaps 40-45 mph if I had to guess. No 120 kph stuff (70 mph for American readers).
