My favorite weather has arrived, mid-60s°F during the day to mid-40s°F at night. Sunny to partly cloudy days and partly cloudy to clear nights. Occasional light rain showers.

Gorgeous day out. If I wasn't in so much pain from the fall last week, I would do a five mile str stroll. I was in so much pain yesterday from the Pumpkin Farm trip I took the kids to after school. yesterday. My left hand cramped up real bad and I couldn't use it. My entire right side from shoulder to ankle was throbbing. Annoying. My kids had a lot of fun though, so it was worth it.

For our American friends, this coverts to being in the mid-high '90s for most of the coming week. Summer officially doesn't start here for another 6wks.

Chilly, cloudy, frost at night. The aspens and cottonwoods are dropping leaves and the Western Larches coming in strong. Snow sticking around on the northern sides of the hills, and the Rockies are white. I have an appointment next week to get studded snow tires installed.

I want it to be summer again...

Just to complete the picture, there was an enormous pile of bear shit in my front yard this morning. A couple of our more recently arrived neighbors have had large cleanup operations as this bear has discovered green bins and garbage bins and seems to be enjoying the change from the local fruit trees. Unfortunately these things always end up with a dead bear...

'Tis the season...

We've got a bear or two using our yard as a throughway to take other people's garbage to a safe spot. We take our garbage to an out of the way dumpster so we don't get hit. I've seen a sow blackie rip the wooden lid off those big white business dumpsters so a bungie cord over my lid ain't gonna cut it
