Buddy texted me from the mine a while ago. No busses could make it into camp and the site bus is in the ditch, roads are glare ice from all the rain that fell last night. Waiting for him to tell me how the haul roads are

Yes they do, while walking my dog the other day in shorts and my hoodie there were people walking around in the neighborhood with ski jackets, ear muffs. It was maybe 49

When I was stationed in Georgia, whever the temperature dipped below freezing we would ask the 1st sergeant for a 3 day pass.
"You promised we'd get one when hell freezes over!"

About 13 years ago we flew to San Antonio for my Granddaughters basic training graduation. They had an Ice storm, All the highways were closed and the base canceled graduation because of frozen sidewalks and parade ground. By early afternoon most everything that wasn't in shade was clear.

Last year it did freeze one night. Had an icicle about 3 inches long in my lanai, Took a picture and sent it to my friends in Colorado who had a ton of snow just before...Lol I told them I could relate...

Sad part is for the most part houses here in Florida are one level,no basement,no second floor storage possibilities. Can't tell you how much stuff we had to get rid of when we were in Colorado..
