But everyone on the board runs for cover when a major IT fail happens so smarter board members make sure they are not going to get lots of rotten egg on their faces.

Smart IT managers include a risk assessment in every board report that includes financial and reputational damage. The one that got the fastest action that I saw showed the cost of grounding the whole fleet for a day, a week and a month if the maintenance records were compromised.

Snowy here in my part of the country- East Sussex. Major gridlock on about all the roads around here, and it took me over an hour to drive what would normally be a 10 minute journey. The UK just can't handle a bit of snow.

Started a mix of rain and sleet about an hour before the end of shift. Ramps and taxiways as well as roads a bit crunchy besides being wet. Stopped and grabbed a bite to eat near the house. Got out of there about 40 minutes after stopping and huge snow flakes as well as lots more sleet. Roads went from crunchy to quite slick in that short of a time. At home and probably won't venture out until Saturday now. Darn sure not going to even attempt to try to go to work tonight.
