But everyone on the board runs for cover when a major IT fail happens so smarter board members make sure they are not going to get lots of rotten egg on their faces.

Smart IT managers include a risk assessment in every board report that includes financial and reputational damage. The one that got the fastest action that I saw showed the cost of grounding the whole fleet for a day, a week and a month if the maintenance records were compromised.

Snowy here in my part of the country- East Sussex. Major gridlock on about all the roads around here, and it took me over an hour to drive what would normally be a 10 minute journey. The UK just can't handle a bit of snow.

Started a mix of rain and sleet about an hour before the end of shift. Ramps and taxiways as well as roads a bit crunchy besides being wet. Stopped and grabbed a bite to eat near the house. Got out of there about 40 minutes after stopping and huge snow flakes as well as lots more sleet. Roads went from crunchy to quite slick in that short of a time. At home and probably won't venture out until Saturday now. Darn sure not going to even attempt to try to go to work tonight.

Guess....

Still cold here in north west England.
Temp was -7C last night, and the snow has frozen solid, with my street (and footpaths) impassable to vehicles - delivery driver unable to reach me yesterday, so hoping my meds can eventually be delivered some time today. Doubt I'll be able to get out until maybe Sunday, when it's due to get a tad warmer (around 1 to 2C), as my mobility scooter can't get over the ice.

It rained here all day yesterday, but thankfully stayed (barely) above freezing overnight, so the roads should be fine. It will be freezing tonight, so I hope the roads can dry out through the day.

Nothing like what my family in D/FW and Amarillo, or C cvairwerks , are dealing with.

We're doing ok around here. Snow and sleet and freezing rain have all stopped and it's starting to get a bit brighter outside. Should be able to start moving around some in the morning. I hope so, cause I need my barbecue fix.... Sliced brisket sandwich and some baked beans and a pitcher of iced tea. :woot:
FTW and Dallas are still getting some of the precip.
