We are having our annual Central California Coast Summer Weather Simulation. Fog in the morning, sometimes quite dense, followed by clearing by around noon and temps in the upper 60's to low 80's. A couple of nights we even had the fog roll back back in by around 1700, which is common in CA but rarely seen here. Not good WX for flying, since even if its clear at 0700 that can change for the worse pretty quickly. Sunday I went up, checked the ATIS at MLB and found they were just about zero-zero, and decided I'd better get on the ground before the fog came in.

Just had snowmobiles driving down the street. Common here, snowmobiles in winter, qauds and dirt bikes in the summer.

I don't remember any snow days either up there. You plugged in your car and hoped for the best in the morning. Only snow days that were noted were in 1997 and 1984.

Ouch. I would be a puddle of goo at those temps. -25°C at the moment, heading for seasonal balmy T-shirt weather by the end of the weekend, -5°C - -8°C.

No school tomorrow due to cold. Mid-teens below zero with windchills in the -30's. In my day we'd be playing shirts vs skins tackle pull away on the playground in weather like this.

Since I've been here, 1985, during the up to -40s, every year there are a few students walking to school in shorts. I'll occasionally wear shorts but that's from the door to the truck and then from the truck to the mall. This is only because I'm too lazy to put on pants

Slaves to fashion. I've had to help a few damsels in distress wearing 6" heels and miniskirts, no hats because their car is buried in a snowdrift.
Just to clarify, I'm not the one in heels and miniskirt. Sorry if I disappointed anyone.
