They were nominally bombers. The Spanish government tried to buy them on a number of occasions.

Before I saw this, I didn't know the manufacturer ever made military aeroplanes.
A vast majority of their production is small civil types. They were founded in 1927, and are still in business but not making complete planes.

Yep.
From Shell Aviation News 1937 (Avialogs)
lt doesn't mention the model. I suspect it is the 28-90, but that was pretty much the same as the 28-70.
