Commandos of Lord Lovat's 2 Special Service Brigade link up with men of 7 Para, outside "La Chaumiere", in Benouville, just about 150 yards from "Pegasus" bridge, in the early afternoon of 6th June, 1944, and the same spot today.

This is not the original bridge but a larger one inaugurated for the D-Day 50th anniversary in 1994. The replacement was because of the naval trafic expansion.
The original one was reerected in 2000 not far from its original place near the Ranville Airborne Museum.
 
Yes, this is all explained and illustrated in my thread "The Travels of Tel's Tin Tent", in the "Off Topic" forums.
The photo posted above is intended as a pure "then and now" which, given the theme of this thread, does show then, and now, including changes since the "then" photos.
