Ok, cool - so Obama attacking Libya was legit.
I never said that but at least that action was undertaken under the auspices of a UN Resolution.
Just to be clear, I'm inherently nervous about any offensive military action outside a declaration of war. The UN can provide some legitimacy, depending on circumstances. However, I think we've become too accustomed to using military force. All too often it's the default option when it should be an absolute last resort. We (the West) also need to try a LOT harder to identify potential outcomes so we can plan for situations that don't align with our preconceptions.
Libya provides another great example of how easy it is to kick over the apple cart but how difficult it can become to put it back together again…which is the key point I'm making.
