I'd guess it's the handle used to extract the step from the slot in the fuselage? Had to look hard, as I hadn't even noticed the aircraft .....

Very nice! On the first 2 pics, what are the "saddle bags" on the F-16? I've only have seen them on the Polish ones and cannot find out what they are. Some type of ECM?
